Your data, your choice. Deleting your account permanently removes your email, name, all family member profiles, and every health record from MedKeep. This action cannot be undone.
How to Delete Your Account
Account deletion is done directly inside the MedKeep app. Follow these steps:
- Open the MedKeep app and sign in with your account credentials.
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom navigation bar, person icon).
- Tap Settings (top-right corner).
- Scroll to Delete and tap it.
- Tap “Delete account” to proceed.
- Confirm deletion when prompted. You will be asked to confirm once more before the deletion proceeds — this action is permanent.
Your account will be deactivated immediately. All server-side data is purged within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account details — email address and display name
- All family member profiles
- Medications, vitals, doctor visits, and all health records
- Uploaded documents and attachments
- Cloud-synced and backed-up data (purged within 30 days)
What May Be Kept
A small amount of non-identifiable technical data may be retained for a limited time after deletion:
- Anonymised crash reports and technical logs — retained up to 12 months, if collected. These contain no health data and cannot be linked back to you.
We do not retain any health records, personal identifiers, or financial information after your account is deleted.
Can't Access the App?
If you've lost access to your account or device and cannot follow the in-app steps, you can request deletion by email:
Email privacy@medkeep.app from your registered email address with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. Include your registered email and a brief note confirming you want your account deleted.
We will process your request within 5 business days and confirm once deletion is complete.
